What an amazing first week at school we are having. All 3B students have been enthusiastic and eager to meet their new classmates and settle in to their new room! This week has been about teamwork and starting the school year right. We have been getting organised, setting our classroom expectations, working on our stamina (focussing on our work) and working in the garden. There has been a lot of new things to learn and information to take in!
I would like to compliment every student on the positive way they have started the year and am looking forward to more of the same as we continue through the term!
As a small project to complete at home each student is being asked to create a book box. This will be used to store their class reading books. An old shoe box is an easy and sustainable way to create this. Students can decorate the shoe box using pictures, coloured paper, material, stickers etc. Some ideas for themes could include; Lego, the garden, surfing, netball, horses, dogs (anything your child is interested in!). If you are finding it hard to find a shoebox or need any assistance don’t hesitate to come in and see me.
Welcome back everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic break and are excited for 2016! Grade 3’s and 4’s have sent home a note today with information about the start of the school year. Any questions please come and see me. Looking forward to a great year ahead!
